Specification

We work closely with our clients at the outset of an assignment to really understand the role we are hiring for so that we are able to formulate a job description and ideal candidate specification that we can utilise to benchmark executives against throughout the process.

Research

Our research is split into two parts, the office-based component involves researching the internet to explore employer websites, conference delegate listings, LinkedIn, as well as utilising our extensive in-house database. The second component is field-based research and involves meeting with our network of long-established market contacts gaining their unique insights on the top-performing executives in a specific arena.

Client collaboration

We work closely with our clients to meet the agreed project timescales, providing weekly updates coupled with briefing and debriefing calls throughout the process, ensuring we keep all parties informed of developments.

Closure

This is where we work closely with the preferred candidate during their resignation process ensuring that any counter-offer is rejected. Once this is achieved, we stay in regular contact with the appointed executive until they start their new role.

Example

A UK based MGA operating internationally looking to grow revenue in new lines of business in Continental Europe especially in the emerging markets required a unit underwriting niche products for SMEs. After looking at potential hires for 6 months they settled on buying an owner managed MGA with five personnel. Although this was a more complex process and took a further nine months to complete it resulted in our client having a ready-made licenced business in the territory with an established team and market presence from which to build. The MGA owners obtained much needed development capital and enhanced distribution for their products.
